One of the event's during the 4th of July weekend at Reunion, was to build and race (in the lazy river) a cardboard boat. We had to make the boat and oar out of the items provided.We were given 2 big pieces of cardboard,3 rolls of clear packaging tape,a box cutter,6 balloons, a piece of plastic and a magic marker and with these items we had to make a boat that would hold Michaela as she raced around the lazy river while attempting to navigate away from multiple water falls and not SINK!
I never imagined how much fun it would be to build a boat in 2 hours. There was a family who hadn't signed up so we invited them to join our team. We went with a canoe style and named her the Titanic but the real theme was the USA Olympic rings. we all made some new friends and had a fantastic time. Michaela did an awesome job navigating the boat while her team mate es Dallas and Ethan followed behind( along with mommy and Flynn) her time was 6 minutes, even though we didn't win (the winning team crossed the finish line in 5 minutes 20 seconds)Mic never once dropped the Oar,flipped the boat and amazingly enough our boat made it 100% intact, which isn't true for all the other boats!
