Mic's first swim meet was this past weekend in Ocala, it was a 3 day event with Michaela swimming on Sat and Sunday.Of course it was the first cool days of the year. Michaela swam the 50m backstroke,100m freestyle, 50 m breast strokes! She did amazing for her first meet, she placed in every event and even went off the block on Sunday's swims. (off the block is when you have to start from a head first dive off an elevated starting block) Our goal for Mic was that she just finish each event regardless of the time. I have never been prouder of Michaela, she started a new sport without knowing any of the other kids and has been determined to better her self. This past 3 months has been a learning experience for all of us. Swim practice's 3-4 days a week from 6-7 and sometimes even until 8pm, swim meets 2 times a month and lots of new equipment. I am very excited to see Mic grow in her new world of swim.
