The 3 time gold medalist swimmer Rowdy Gaines came to give Michaela's swim team the Splash a special swim clinic. He was so incredible he got in the water and gave pointer's to every single swimmer. It was amazing to hear that he didn't even start swimming competitively until he was 17 years old! While Rowdy was signing autographs he passed around one of his gold medals and allowed all of the kids and parents to hold it,it really is pure gold and very heavy! One of the best pointers was that perfecting your entrance off the block is 70% of winning, you gain more distance with the entrance then the entire swim! I forgot to ask him if Rowdy is his real name, I will need to google it.
